Joy von Janneby is a stunning 21 month-old coated black and red German Shepherd. This beautiful girl came to us from a loving home on a ranch where she lived with her 4 sisters, all rescued from the same breeder.(she was given up because her sisters picked on her). Gentle and extra sweet, Joy is a gem and would be a great choice for a family or person with another dog. She loves people including children, is well-socialized, and described by her prior owner as "happy, sweet, cuddly and fun-loving." Not only that, but she is housebroken and crate-trained, and was well-mannered inside the home. Joy initially wasn't too sure what to make of life in a busy city kennel, but she has adjusted well. We all adore her! She has a gentle nature and is a pleasure to be with; she likes to be close to you, gazes in your eyes, and is easy to love. She readily warms up to new people, takes treats gently, walks well on leash, and greets other dogs politely. In playgroups thus far she's more of a mingler than an active player, happy to simply be around others while staying close to her human friends. While she would enjoy another dog in the home, she is not for cats or livestock. Come meet beautiful Joy who will, yes, fill your days with joy and affection.
